Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 10) Help

Running the Batch Process

In a text editor, create a command file of the key-ins to be run. For example:

GEOCOORDINATE ASSIGN MATCHUNITS AL83-WF
VIEW OFF ALL
ON=ALL
SELVIEW 1
VIEW ON 1
FIT VIEW EXTENDED 1
FILEDESIGN

This series of commands will assign the defined geographic coordinate system and change the DGN units to match the geographic coordinate system units. It will turn all views off, turn all levels on in view 1, then turn on view 1. It will also Fit View 1 and save the settings so the file will be opened with all data being displayed in view 1.

Tip: Since this process will be visiting all selected files, it might be useful to run other commands such as level naming to adopt the level naming format vs. level numbers. The standard adopted by Bentley Map is to match the level name to the feature name. See the MicroStation help for details on how to rename a level.

See the MicroStation help for information on how to run a batch process. It involves selecting the files to process and the command file that should be run on those files. The dialog will look something like this.
